What were your highlights from your CASE QEP experience?
The collaborative project between the CASE and QEP delegates was a significant highlight and great experience for me. Our joint effort involved engaging with a client to gather essential details, enabling both the CA and Quant delegates to obtain the necessary information for their respective analyses. It was highly rewarding to observe how our individual contributions seamlessly integrated to support the bank's daily decision-making processes.
What valuable skills/lessons would you say you walked away with from CASE QEP?
During QEP, I gained several valuable skills that have been instrumental in my personal and professional development. One of the key skills I walked away with was how to communicate not only with colleagues but with a potential client as well. I gained a deeper understanding of customer service and how to handle client interactions professionally. These skills have not only enhanced my performance in subsequent roles but also boosted my confidence in handling various work situations. In addition, I learned how to clearly convey ideas and collaborate with team members, which improved our overall productivity. And also developed strong time management skills by balancing multiple tasks and working well under pressure due to the time constraints that we had for our projects.
Any words of advice for our new candidates?
Beyond the CASE/QEP experience and getting a crash course in the financial industry - build good relationships with the people who attend the vocational programme - it will serve you well in your future.
